As a life long dog owner and a member of the dog rescue community for over a decade you can rest easy knowing that I'll love your dog as if they were my own and likely be bummed to see them go! My world revolves around my doggos and how I can give them their best life.
If you're anything like me, when I do have to be away I'm looking for peace of mind, and that means knowing that they're getting just as much love, attention and activity as they do when I'm with them.
The Wanderlust Mutts idea was born in 2020 when I decided I wanted to take this crew on the move, we bought a vintage motorhome, restored her to, well, some version of glory, and of course we had to name her.....what's a girl to name an old 1980 motorhome she's about to set off in with her FOUR rescue dogs and her rescue cat?! Well - The Wanderlust Mutt Bus or Mutt Bus for short stuck. We traveled through much of the western states and continue to go on adventures, but fell hard for Moab and proudly currently call it home and can't wait to share it with other dog friends and dog loving humans!
My pack is used to welcoming in new friends, be them day campers or fosters, but that doesn't mean that they don't have their own personalities and objections to sharing love and attention some days! I'm very in tune with your dogs (and mine!) Recognizing when they need some one on one time, or just some time away from the young spunky member of the pack that day is something we pay close attention to make sure every doggo gets just what they need and they feel safe, happy, and have fun!
They happen, and we can get some pretty rad thunderstorms out here in the desert! If we can and it's not too cold, we never shy away from a rainy day and on warm days, we will always seek out water to play in and some shade! That said, we do our best to get cleaned up afterwards, but sometimes that means a little bit of dirt and our famous red desert dusty paws!
Our "News" will cover info on dog friendly adventures around Moab, the "do's and don'ts" of the National Parks and some fun info on other dog friendly things to do on the move, our wanderlust never dies, and we don't want yours or your doggos to either! We may even throw in a discount code now and again.......
